History
Our Vocational School, which continues its education-training activities in the Elazığ Central Rectorate Campus, started service with the Poultry Breeding Program in the 1995–1996 Academic Year. It expanded its field by opening the Beekeeping, Tourism and Hotel Management and Mapping and Cadastre Programs in the 1996–1997 Academic Year. With the opening of the Dairy Farming Program in the 2001–2002 Academic Year, and the Horse Training and Equine Management Programs in the 2007–2008 Academic Year, the number of programs reached 7. However, in the 2008-2009 Academic Year, the names of some of our programs were changed and combined by the Council of Higher Education, and they are currently functioning as 5 departments and 5 programs in our College, including the Horse Breeding and Training Program under the Department of Plant and Animal Production, the Beekeeping Program, the Mapping and Cadastre Program under the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, the Tourism and Hotel Management Program under the Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Services, the Laboratory and Health Program under the Department of Veterinary Medicine, and Tourist Guidance under the Department of Travel - Tourism and Entertainment Services.
In our College of Vocational Education, we are trying to provide our students with an education that will compete with other universities in the national and international arena by using all the opportunities of modern education. Graduates of our college of vocational education are employed as professionals in both the public and private sectors.
